Cold Shoulder Ruffle Top [Steal]

Off the shoulder tops/dresses are definitely a must for the summer.  While browsing the internet I came across a super cute open-shoulder top from anthropologie.com, although I loved the style I did not like the price. So, I went ahead and started searching for a similar top that would not break the bank. I found one at makemechic.com, it was not exactly the same, but close enough. Plus, the price was perfect, $19.00 vs $98.00.

I was a little hesitant about buying from this site, since many times they send something totally different or the sizes are from UK or China and are way smaller than what you expected.

I ordered several items, (which I will be reviewing later on). I normally use medium size, but use large depending on the brand/style. I double checked the chart sizes for each item and ordered the size I thought would fit. This top is a medium and it fits perfect, it is 100% cotton, which is another good thing. I wore it with a pencil skirt and some wedges. Perfect outfit without breaking the bank. Definitely a Steal!

Restaurant Week San Antonio [Eat]

Restaurant Week San Antonio is here from August 13-27!  Don’t miss out this event where San Antonio’s best chefs put together prefixed menus for intimate dinners around the city.  There are 2 tiers, tier one which is a list of an upper scale restaurants such as; Bliss, Perry’s, Southerleigh, Biga on the Banks among others and include a prefixed $15 Lunch and $35 Dinner. Tier 2 has more casual restaurants such as; Dough, Paloma Blanca, Urban Taco, El Machito, amount other and include a prefixed $10 Lunch and $25 Dinner.

Yesterday, I dined at Perry’s Steak House & Grille, which is AMAZING and for $35 it is totally worth it. I ordered the Wedge Salad, the 6.0z Steak and the dessert trio.

Uni'ko Japanese House [Eat]

Since we are big time sushi lovers, for our anniversary dinner I suggested my boyfriend that we should try out this new sushi place at the Eilan.  The place is very cozy and contemporary. I loved the decorations and the art. The environment is modern-chick and high end. The staff was incredibly nice. Since it was our first time there, our waiter explained the menu and the specials they had for that day.

We started off with some spicy garlic edamame, it was super good, perfect amount of spiciness. To drink we ordered the Nigori Sake, recommended by our waiter.  Sake makes me happy, but this one made me ecstatic!

Since all of their ingredients are organic and fresh, the specials change constantly. That day the special was the Lobster and Ceviche Roll.  I ordered the [Lobster Roll], it was amazing and huge! Every piece was an explosion of flavor! My boyfriend ordered the [A Shin Gao Roll], since he likes spicy food, it was also delicious. We also ordered the [Combination Yakimeshi] (beef, chicken, shrimp). Best Yakimeshi I’ve ever had; I highly recommend it! Everything was amazing!

To seal the deal, we ordered the [Wasabi Cream with Seasonal Fruit] it is a wasabi-green tea dessert! It was delicious! It had the perfect amount of sweet and it hit the spot after an amazing meal.
This place is one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. Perfect to meet up with friends, casual dining or a romantic date!
Uni’ko is located at 17803 LaCantera Ter Ste 110, San Antonio, TX 78256.

Cons.
After trying Uni’ko you will probably feel like no other sushi place will meet your expectations. So, welcome to your new favorite sushi house!
