Sayulita Pueblo Mágico [Travel]

Sayulita was one of the places we visited during my bachelorette party.  I really wanted to visit this town because it’s on the list of “Pueblos Magicos”.  (What does that mean? That it is a "Magical Village" is a place with symbolism, legends, history, important events, day-to-day life – in other words, "magic" in its social and cultural manifestations, with great opportunities for tourism.)
We were there twice, just because we couldn’t get enough of this gorgeous place. Here are some things you can’t miss.

Main Street
If you are coming from Punta Mita or Puerto Vallarta, the taxi driver will drop you off at the main street, or what it seems to be. This street is a sure photo op! The “papel picado” palm trees, the people and all the colorful stores make this place just magical! You can even see the beach from here.

The Beach
You must go to the beach! This town is well known for surfing. Although I am not a surfer at all I really enjoyed the waves and who doesn’t have fun in the sun, with a margarita in one hand? There are many restaurants that offer beach chairs/lounges.

Rent a Bike and Roam Around
Although Sayulita is a small town, you can basically walk everywhere. You can also rent a bike and go the extra mile.  You can rent it for the whole day and it is very cheap.

Have Brunch
We had brunch at this cute place called Rustico! The ceviche was amazing and the service was too! We ordered micheladas and mimosas! There are other many cute restaurants with amazing food!

Shop Everything
When we got there we all literally went crazy with all the cute shops and all the local people selling their handmade "artesanias", which are artisan goods. I bought a cute hat that had embroidery, a turquoise ring, some earrings, a beautiful cover-up and a mug. I wanted to buy a lot of things but I did not have the money or space in my bag.

I really enjoyed visiting Sayulita. The people there are so nice they are so warm hearted and happy. There are positive messages about peace and love everywhere. Everyone here, including dogs, have a free spirit!
