Last Sunday some friends and I decided to get together and
catch up over brunch. I suggested Rebelle at The St. Anthony’s Hotel. I’ve been
there before for dinner, but had no idea they were also serving brunch on
Sundays! The place is super chic. We
asked to be seated outside to enjoy our brunch al fresco.
We started by ordering a hibiscus mimosa and some BUTTERMILK
BISCUITS [whipped honey butter and green tomato jam]. They were exquisite. I
ordered the THE BENEDICTINE [poached eggs over English muffin with sweet and
sour tomatoes, prosciutto, fenneldaise sauce and potatoes] they were also very
good. My vegetarian friend ordered the IL SCAFATA EN FERNO [farm eggs baked
into spicy tomato sauce with spring vegetables, aged buffalo mozzarella and
polenta] also very tasty.
If you like Feast, you will love Rebelle. These restaurants are
owned by the same chef, and you can never go wrong. Plus, it has the perfect balcony patio for a Sunday brunch during fall weather.
