A few weeks ago I saw the H&M Fall Collection TV spot. It features many of the fall collection items, but this tie-front dotted top caught my full attention, not only because of the style but because of the price.
It was advertised as $9.99! I was like "get out of town"! That is a major STEAL! I went online to look for it, and in the US was no longer available! I gave up! But when I was preparing for my trip, I had to visit the store to buy a sweater. There it was, a little wrinkled but it was beautiful, and the price was as advertised; $9.99! I tried on, I am usually a size 8 or medium but this top accentuates the waist (which I have none) so I had to try the next size available, which is 10. I felt more comfortable with this size and not like a sausage about to explode. I thought about not buying it, but I kept looking at the price and I just couldn't resist it.
As you may know, I like wearing my new items the very next day or as soon as possible, but I was traveling to Peru and we were going to do lots of hiking, walking and tourist stuff, so I left it in my closet hanging until this past weekend when I meet my friends for brunch. I wore the top with some skinny Levi's jeans, some classic black pumps, and my Rebecca Minkoff peace sign envelope clutch.
