When I see tweed the only thing that comes into my mind is Chanel! Crazy how this type of fabric became so iconic for that brand. I read that Mademoiselle Chanel got inspired by his boyfriend's tweed jacket in 1924. Still, Chanel produces the same style, a piece that I believe will never go out of fashion. Enough with the history lessons. Since this blog was created to find affordable pieces I want to share with you this tweed "jacket", although it is very far from being Chanel, I think it looks very nice!
I bought this "jacket" last year, from SheIn thinking it was a jacket! To my surprise, it was a top! It has decorative metal buttons and a belt, which I didn't use on the day I took the pictures. I really like how it looks on the picture of the model on the website. For some reason, it doesn't look the same on me! -Maybe the extra 20 lbs between us- ha! Anywho, I had it sitting in my closet because the fabric is very warm and it hasn't been that cold, until yesterday. I wore it for brunch and paired it with white pants, my DSW studded Valentino look-a-like shoes that match my Valentino look-a-like bag! I did try on the top with black pants and I did not like it, maybe I will try it on with jeans or a leather skirt and high knee boots. Below is the exact jacket along with similar ones!
