While browsing the internet for a plaid dress/top to wear to my annual friends' "posada", I came across this super cute top! I love the sleeves details and the fabric texture.

Tuxedo Vest [Steal]

Not to long ago, I found this tuxedo dress at one of the discounts stores I love shopping at. I tried it on as a dress, but then I noticed that it could double as a vest, so basically it’s a two-in-one item.

Chinese food is one of my favorite! Today I will give you the recipe for an easy Chicken Fried Rice.

Brunch with a View [Eat]

Last Sunday some friends and I decided to get together and catch up over brunch. I suggested Rebelle at The St. Anthony’s Hotel. I’ve been there before for dinner, but had no idea they were also serving brunch on Sundays! The place is super chic.  We asked to be seated outside to enjoy our brunch al fresco.

Top 5 Things to do in Chicago [Travel]

Chicago is the third biggest city in the U.S.A., and it has a lot to offer, such as history, architecture, culture, restaurants, museums, national sport teams and many more things. I recently visited one of my best friends that resides in this beautiful city. This is the second time I visit Chicago, and it's always breath taking!

Floral Bomber Jacket [Steal]

Last week we experienced a cool breeze here in San Antonio. Since we pretty much have warm weather all year round, I can't miss the chance to wear a cute light jacket or a sweater. I was ready to go denim on denim, which I constantly wear, and before leaving the house, I just grabbed this floral bomber jacket that was sitting in my closet. I bought it a while back at Marshall’s, it was less than $20.00. The denim top (well, it’s actually a very very short dress) is from MakeMeChic.com, and it was only $8.00.

Down On Grayson [Eat]

Last weekend, I planned to meet up with some of my friends, to tell them all about my engagement! We wanted to go to a nice place to talk, that offered good food and drinks. We decided to try out Down on Grayson. So, we meet for lunch on a Saturday. When I got there the atmosphere was relaxed and fresh. Down on Grayson is a casual, Modern-American restaurant that serves a mixture of classic and contemporary dishes

I started off by ordering a frozen margarita (which is my favorite drink). Then, for lunch I ordered the GRILLED SANDWICH DU JOUR, (sandwich of the day) which was a Rueben sandwich with a house sauce and a side of French fries. I usually wouldn’t order the Rueben, but our waiter convinces me and he was right! It was super good, grilled to perfection and the cheese was amazing! The fries were also very good.

One of my friends ordered the CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICH (panko crusted chicken, baby Swiss, tomatoes, pickles & house-made balsamic slaw) and it was also delicious!

Finally, we ordered the STRAWBERRY CAKE (6 layers with fresh strawberries blended into the batter and icing. Topped with Strawberry buttercream icing). It was AMAZING! I love strawberries, so it was perfect! After that I went into a food coma.

Down on Grayson is perfect for a casual lunch-dinner with family and/or friends, you can bring your kids and even your dog. I really recommend it and probably will be coming back soon.  It is located on 303 East Grayson, San Antonio, TX 78215. For more information visit downongrayson.com

Cons.
Portions are too big, try to share with someone. I was planning to take my left overs home, but as usual I forgot the box on the table.

Off the Shoulder Trend [Steal]

Last [Steal] post I featured a Cold Shoulder Ruffle Top from makemechic.com. Well, today I am featuring an off the shoulder top, which I also ordered from there. Unless you're living under a rock, I am pretty sure you have noticed the off the shoulder trend, and I am certain it will continue to do so for a while. I got this top for only $18.00! It really was a steal!

I ordered medium size, but it comes slightly oversized, so if you are planning to order one you can either order your size or a size under. I compared it with other brands/stores $150.00 (MLM LABEL), the material and style are exactly the same
I wore it with some lace up flats, a chocker from Forever21 and some Paige ripped jeans. To see complete links and outfit details scroll down.

New Orleans Weekend Guide [Travel]

Last weekend I traveled to New Orleans to celebrate my future sister-in-law'21st birthday! Yes, you read it right! I also got engaged in this magical and mystical city! It was the best weekend/trip I have ever had!  It was a blast! We partied all weekend and we didn't leave the French Quarter.

STAY
Monteleone, located at 214 Royal Street. Main attraction, the Carousel Bar & Lounge.

EAT
Brunch: The Court of Two Sisters. It's the most delicious buffet I've ever tried. Plus, they have an awesome patio.
Light Lunch: Cafe Beignet. Try the Muffaletta and of course their beignets.
Dinner: Irene's Cuisine. Order the lasagna, the meatballs and ask for off the menu specials.

ENTERTAINMENT
You don’t have to go anywhere else, the French Quarter is the city’s center of culture for entertainment. You can spend the weekend walking through the beautiful neighborhood and admire the French and Spanish architecture, the art galleries, antiques stores, boutiques, music performers and of course restaurants and bars. Royal street has the best art galleries. Bourbon Street has the best bars and it's the place to party. Before you leave make sure to visit Jackson Square and St. Louis Cathedral. These last two are a must! They both have a very special place in my heart, since this is where the proposal took place.

Cold Shoulder Ruffle Top [Steal]

Off the shoulder tops/dresses are definitely a must for the summer.  While browsing the internet I came across a super cute open-shoulder top from anthropologie.com, although I loved the style I did not like the price. So, I went ahead and started searching for a similar top that would not break the bank. I found one at makemechic.com, it was not exactly the same, but close enough. Plus, the price was perfect, $19.00 vs $98.00.

I was a little hesitant about buying from this site, since many times they send something totally different or the sizes are from UK or China and are way smaller than what you expected.

I ordered several items, (which I will be reviewing later on). I normally use medium size, but use large depending on the brand/style. I double checked the chart sizes for each item and ordered the size I thought would fit. This top is a medium and it fits perfect, it is 100% cotton, which is another good thing. I wore it with a pencil skirt and some wedges. Perfect outfit without breaking the bank. Definitely a Steal!
