Mix Prints [Polka Dots and Stripes]

I have been wanting to wear an outfit with mix prints for a while. When I started looking for combinations I realized I do not have that many prints in my closet. My mother taught me to keep it simple and buy solid colors so they can last longer and mix and match easily.
I think it is always a good idea to have fun prints in your closet. One of the pieces I found with print were these polka dot trousers I featured on the Valentine's Day post. Then I was between using inverted colors like the H&M Dotted Top I featured a while back or stripes. I feel stripes are neutral when mixing with prints. Plus I wanted to wear something fresh since its the beginning of spring. So I went ahead and paired the trousers with this cute stripe wrap top. I wanted to add some color so I wore these big red and pink earrings I got from ZARA. It looks like I am ready to mambo! LOL!
For the shoes, I went with a neutral nude color to keep the Mix Prints (polka dots and stripes) in the spotlight. I added my ark bag that I love and that I'll be using this season. By the way, this bag is a major STEAL! Find the bag in the link below. Also, I wanted to mention that all the items I am wearing are under $40.

At first, I was a little hesitant about mixing these prints but once I tried them on I felt confident and comfortable, which is the most important thing. There are many ways to mix prints. I found this cool article from Glamour Magazine that talks about the different ways you can mix. At the end just work with what you already have in your closet and rock it! There are no rules when it comes to style.
